Swastika Mukherjee was born on 13 December 1980 in Kolkata. She is the daughter of Bengali actor Shantanu Mukherjee. His mother’s name is Gopa Mukherjee. He also has a sister named Ajopa Mukherjee. Swastika completed her schooling at Kolkata’s Carmel High School, St. Teresa’s Secondary School and Gokhale Memorial School, after which she completed her graduation in History from Jadavpur University.
Swastika Mukherjee was married to Parmeet Sen in the year 1998. But their marriage lasted only two years. She accused her husband of physically torturing her while she was pregnant and locking her out of their house, due to which her husband filed for divorce in the year 2000. Later on, the idea of getting a divorce was changed. According to the decision of the court, the allegations made by Swastika Mukherjee were false. They have a daughter named Anvisha Sen.
