Gaurav started his acting career as a television artist in 2004. Before joining the entertainment industry, he was working in the IT sector as a marketing manager. Initially, he was offered to play supporting roles. Gaurav’s first success was from his 2006 television show Bhabhi in which he played the role of Bhaven Sareen. Then he did Kumkum: Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan in which he played the role of Sharman Wadhwa. During 2007-2010, Khanna worked in several TV serials. In 2021, he received massive success and adulation for his performance as business tycoon Anuj Kapadia opposite Rupali Ganguly in Star Plus Television show Anupamaa.
